John: You Must Acquit

Harvard Law student John Cochran was born into his vocation. With a name like Johnny Cochran, you can't not be a lawyer. It's like a girl named Destiny not being a stripper or a guy named Jeeves not being a butler. Johnny Boy had no choice but to study the law and study the law he shall.

A Northern Virginia boy (holla!), Johnny describes himself as neurotic, insecure, and brilliant. *smiles* Bless you Johnny, bless you. I think we're going to have a lot of fun together this season. It's that sort of honesty and quirkiness that I embrace. I predict he's nerdy to the core, probably eccentric as hell, and I'm betting on an interesting mix of insecurity and narcissism that only a really smart yet insanely awkward person can deliver. Let's see if I'm right:

Yup. Nailed it. *rubs hands together* Delicious. I'm predicting clumsiness coupled with a resentful vindictiveness. It'll be interesting to see how he maneuvers himself within the game and whether or not he has the ability to mindfuck players within an inch of their lives. Good luck Johnny. You're going to need it.

The cast is looking up, don't you think?

  1. I've never been a Survivor fan, but reading your blog makes me wonder how much I've missed! Started watching last season, but after Matt went to Redemption Islan AGAIN I honestly couldn't bear to watch lol. Can't wait to watch this season and read your awesome blog!! Keep 'em coming Miss Lala :)

  2. Its like Woody Allen turned 22 and went on Survivor. I hope he brought some sunscreen. I worry about Howdy in all that sunlight.

  3. I'm with you LaLa, I likes him. He has great potential but like the man says, he's gotta make it past the early days yet. Hopefully we'll get to see a Geek V Jock showdown, the likes of which we haven't seen since Yau-Man in Fiji.

  4. Adorable. I LUV this guy. His tribemates better not boot him out first. If he can make it past the first vote, he'll make friends and probably stick around. JohnBoy will be entertaining as hell.

Rarely does reality-TV show us a person with this level of self-awareness and self-acceptance. And he's articulate too. Goody-goody gumdrops! I'm so, so, so excited to see that casting is able to enlist someone who does not fit the California-wanna-be-actor/model mold. I love the Yao-man's, the Sue's, and even the Rudy's. Good stuff. Real people who really want to play and win--and not just be on TV.

  5. I agree with anon^^ He's a keeper. Kinda reminds me of Stephen Fishbach.

  6. YAY!!! --Johnny2.0 gets another shot!!!

And good-bye to the one that LALA said would go first! Right again: glitter shower!!
